Pinzoo / Learn & Play

a curious approach into the value of everyday objects

-

We deconstruct a tool, a clothespin. We trace and illustrate an exploration of its unexpected potential and show it through visual and conceptual experiments. We want to use the tool for a different material action, interpret or represent an act with it, or even create a different context.

Pinzoo takes inspiration from the simple mechanism of a clothespin and brings it into the context of play through Coco el cocodrilo, Tuca el tucán and Llena la ballena.

Pinzoo is an educational toy for children from 1 to 3 years old. It arises as an evolution of the traditional clothespin, giving it a new utility. The aim of these toys is to stimulate the pincer grasp, fundamental in the psychomotor development of children, and turn it into a fun and attractive experience for the little ones. Children stimulate the pincer grasp through play, as Coco, Tuca and Llena can "talk" thanks to the movement of the pincer mechanism.
