visual experimentation on the creative interpretation of data

-

This project is based on the visual experimentation on the creative interpretation of data. It is developed in collaboration with the research work in progress La mappa imaginaria della Poesía Contemporánea, led by Laura Pugno and with Javier Errea as guest professor.

It addresses the importance of graphic language as a communicative tool and also makes use of paper as an expressive material to create a complete and memorable communicative experience.

In short, to create a graphic that is able to communicate not only data, but also the essence and identity of each poet.

Serie Fossile is the main reference of my work, it is from this book of poems that I draw the graphic element to communicate the data. Among all the types of fossils, I use the Ammonite or Nautilus fossil shell because, visually, it is the easiest to recognize. The pieces that represent each concept are inspired by the chambers that are observed in the longitudinal section of the shell.

My intention in this project has been to make a subtle, elegant and easy to understand graphic. It is a graphic that communicates visually, without the need to add more text than the percentages.
